About
What this site is, and how reviews are structured.
CarTrends covers cars the way people actually live with them: daily commutes, winter mornings, road trips, parking lots, errands, and the small details you only notice after a week of ownership.
What we publish
- Reviews: Practical, real-world impressions—comfort, controls, visibility, tech, cabin noise, efficiency, and value.
- Guides: Buying advice, trim breakdowns, feature comparisons, and “what to know before you sign.”
- News: Straightforward updates on launches, delays, recalls, and industry changes that affect shoppers.
How our reviews are structured
Most reviews are built around a consistent checklist so you can compare vehicles quickly:
- What changed / who it’s for
- Powertrains and efficiency
- Ride, handling, and noise
- Interior comfort, usability, and tech
- Pricing and trims
- Pros, cons, and a clear verdict
Editorial principles
- Clarity over hype: We’ll call out the good and the annoying.
- Context matters: A “great feature” only counts if it works easily day-to-day.
- Comparable benchmarks: We try to describe trade-offs in plain language (space, noise, performance feel, costs).
Disclosures
- Ads: We may run advertising on some pages. Ads help keep the site running and do not influence editorial decisions.
- Affiliate links: If we add affiliate links in the future, they’ll be clearly labeled.
